- Anatomy
- the branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms.
- Example: Today, we are studying the anatomy of a human body.

- Angiography
- An examination by X-ray of blood or lymph vessels, carried out after introduction of a radiopaque
substance, highlighting the presence and extent of obstruction to the vessel, if any
- Example: She needs to go to the hospital to do an angiography to see if there is anything wrong with her vessels.

- Biopsy
- Bone
- pieces of hard whitish tissue making up the skeleton in humans and other vertebrates.
- Example: We did an X-ray to see if you have a broken bone.

- Catheter
- A thin tube that can be inserted in the body to treat diseases or perform a surgical procedure
- Example: I inserted a catheter in the patient's arm.

- Diagnostic Radiography
- The examination of internal organs, bones, cavities and foreign objects; includes cardiovascular
imaging and interventional radiography
- Example: To see what was wrong, we did a diagnostic radiography.

- Fracture
- A complete or incomplete break in a bone resulting from the application of excessive force
- Example: You seem to have a fracture of your left hand.

- Plastic conduit used to administer various fluids to patients through a needle inserted into one of the
patient’s veins
- Example: We put a intravenous tubing into the patient's veins.

- Of a tumor, tending to invade normal tissue or to recur after removal; cancerous.
- Example: We found a malignant tumor in this patient's brain.

- The science of the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the
laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.
- Example: The doctor diagnosed a pathology to this patient.

- Radiologist
- A medical specialist who uses radioactive substances and X-rays in the treatment of disease.
- Example: We need to make sure the radiologist is here before we start the exam.

- Radioprotection
- Protection against harmful effects of radiation
- Example: We have to do a lot of radio protection to avoid unnecessary radiation to the patient.

- sterile field
- A specified area, such as within a tray or on a sterile towel, that is considered free of microorganisms
- Example: You have to be careful to not contaminate your sterile field.

- A technique using echoes of ultrasound pulses to delineate objects or areas of different density in the
body
- Example: We did a Ultrasonography to see if the baby is healthy.

solids and of ionizing gases
